Carly Colgan Bates (right) and Susan Fox (left) first bonded over their love of travel and skincare.
Carly, although born and bred in Dublin, works in the financial services industry in New York City. She lives there with her husband and mini poodle, Lile. She is also an online content creator and self-proclaimed queen of self-care!
Susan lives in Wicklow with her husband and 2 children. She is a skin therapist, serial entrepreneur and owner of Eden Beauty Group; which specialises in advanced skincare. Susan also flew as cabin crew with Aer Lingus for over 10 years.
how they met...
after clicking at a PR event nearly 10 years ago, Carly and Susan instantly struck up a friendship, and Carly went on to work as a brand ambassador for Susan, for many years. they had always talked about creating something together and then randomly, at a bottomless brunch in NYC, the idea for ealu was born...
"we felt there was a huge gap in the bodycare market. most bodycare, while it smells good or feels nice, does not actually treat your skin. while cosmeceutical (clinical grade) bodycare, treats your skin it doesn’t offer any experiential elements. with ealu, we want to change that!"

what inspires them...
Susan and Carly strongly believe that self care is essential for mental and physical wellbeing. they both (like most!) lead hectic lives, and find sanctuary from the stresses of life, in their bathrooms.

meanwhile, at the end of a long day, you will always find Susan in a warm bath, with a glass of wine in one hand and a book in the other.
when it comes to their inspiration... ealu is strongly inspired by travel, something they are both extremely passionate about. from the brand colours, to the packaging, formulas and scents… they have drawn huge inspiration from their travels.
